There are small boats are operating as passenger boats while a larger one is operating with large seating capacity with lower deck and upper deck facility. The price for the seat is Rs 30 or Rs 50 according to the boat size. Those who want to use the smaller boats are requested to wear life jackets that are provided by the boat operator.

One and only bus operating in the island. It is operated by the Government. There are lot of Indian three wheelers (Tuk Tuk) for you to travel around the island..

One of the private buses that are running between Jaffna and the Kurikattuvan Jetty. There are many CTB buses too operate in this route. The running time is around one hour.
There is also another Jetty called as Irruppidy, and this place is very rarely used by passengers.
